HEIONTEC at a Glance

HEIONTEC is developing an innovative energy harvesting technology that converts ambient heat into electrical energy. The technology is based on thermo-electrochemical generator cells (TEC-G cells), designed to provide self-sustaining power for sensors and other ultra-low-power devices. Behind the HEIONTEC brand is HEIONIT GmbH, a deep-tech company headquartered in Schleswig-Holstein with its own development laboratory in Lohmar, North Rhine-Westphalia. The technology is advancing from laboratory validation toward scalable manufacturing and real-world applications. To this end, HEIONTEC is collaborating with industry and research partners on cell manufacturing, system integration, and scaling.
