HEION & HEIONTEC

HEIONTEC is a registered trademark of HEIONIT GmbH, an independent company in which HEION GmbH holds a stake. HEION itself previously developed a modified fuel and successfully launched HEION CLEAN DIESEL (EN 590) on the market. During the production of HEION CLEAN DIESEL, a special process water is produced as a residual material in a patented process.

This process water is the main component of HEIONTEC TEC-G cells and enables resource-saving, sustainable and cost-effective cell production through this upcycling process. By dispensing with expensive, imported materials used in conventional battery construction (e.g. lithium), HEIONTEC production is independent of geopolitical tensions and imports and has a better carbon footprint.

The technology is based on a closed-loop model: residual and waste materials from HEION production are not disposed of, but instead form the raw material for HEIONTEC. This creates sustainable added value with clear technological and economic advantages. The solution is scalable, draws directly on existing production processes, and taps into enormous market potential in the field of green energy technologies.
