HEIONTEC is "Überflieger 2026" – off to Silicon Valley
HEIONTEC is one of the three winners of the 2026 High-Flying Companies Competition. With this award, the deep-tech company wins a trip to San Francisco and Silicon Valley, where it will have the opportunity to present its technology to international investors, companies, and innovation partners.
At the finals on September 9, 2026, the selected startups presented their business models live before the “Überflieger” jury and Schleswig-Holstein’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Claus Ruhe Madsen, at the state government’s guest house. HEIONTEC impressed the jury with its innovative technology for powering wireless sensors and was named one of the three “Überflieger 2026” winners.
From Schleswig-Holstein to Silicon Valley
The grand prize takes the winning teams to San Francisco and Silicon Valley for a week. The itinerary includes pitch sessions in front of investors, networking events, and visits to universities and technology companies.
For HEIONTEC, the trip marks another step in its international expansion. The company has already established its own U.S. subsidiary and is strategically expanding its operations in North America.
“For us, this award is above all an opportunity to showcase HEIONTEC right where new technologies, capital, and industry converge most closely,” says Andreas Heine, founder and CEO of HEIONTEC. “We want to use this trip to establish concrete contacts with investors, technology partners, and potential customers, and to prepare our next steps in the U.S.”
With its selection as a 2026 “Überflieger,” HEIONTEC continues its journey from technological development to industrial application and international marketing.
