HEIONIT GmbH expands research team with Dr. Peter Commer as Research Scientist

HEIONIT GmbH, a leading company in the field of sustainable energy generation and resource utilization, is pleased to introduce Dr. Peter Commer as a new member of its team.

Dr. Commer holds a PhD in theoretical solid state physics from Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf and Forschungszentrum Jülich; the focus of his studies was the understanding of protonic charge processes in the PEM fuel cell (PEM = polymer electrolyte membrane). He has been working in industrial research and development for more than 20 years and has focused on PEM fuel cell research and development since 2018. Dr. Commer has developed numerous methods for analyzing electrochemical processes within the PEM and has filed several patents for slowing down the aging of the platinum-carbon structure within the PEM cathode-anode structure.

With his many years of experience and expertise, Dr. Commer will contribute to further strengthening the company's innovative power in his new role at HEIONTEC. In collaboration with the research and development team, he will work in particular on the development of new technologies for the efficient use of ambient heat.
